This never before seen footage featured on the new Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Two Collection from Thor: The Dark World (2013) shows Tom Hiddleston’s character, Loki, as a beloved king worthy of wielding Thor’s hammer Mjolnir.
Loki is one of several powerful beings from the magical realm of Asgard, who have been worshiped as gods. Odin, once the ruler of the Asgardian gods, led his subjects in a war against their enemy, the frost giants from the land of Jotunheim (one of the nine worlds of Asgard) with Loki’s help he wins, and we see Loki worthy of Thor’s Hammer (at least from this clip).
Much to everyone’s sadness, Loki was cut from Avengers: Age of Ultron, but Hiddleston has said: “I will be back again”
But what would Thor: Ragnarok be without him? The film’s out in 2017 so fingers crossed we’ll be seeing him then.
