Ni Oh (meaning “benevolent king”) is a historical samurai action game. It was announced at PlayStation Experience by Team Ninja, the developers of Ninja Gaiden franchise. Originally, the game, was announced at Koei Tecmo 2004 for PS3, but, after 6 years the game transferred under the development of Team Ninja. The game was intended to be released under the name of Oni (meaning “demon”) alongside a companion movie with the same title.
Ni Oh follows the story of a blond-haired samurai, who is the son of a Japanese Lord and a Western Woman, during the Warring States in 16th century. The game sure looks like a child between Onimusha and Ninja Gaiden which is an interesting combination. The game is intended to be PS4 exclusive and is yet to be released in 2016.
