Mortal Kombat X Will Offer a Beta For Its New Multiplayer

The registration for the new and improved multiplayer of Mortal Kombat X will begin on 19 January. The open beta will help those from NetherRealm Studios to ‘move away from the dynamic input latency model towards a model that preserves the feel of an offline game more accurately while playing online and maintains a consistent input response.

The new model will offer ‘a more stable experience‘ and will reduce the ‘lag sentiment in online matches.‘ Any player who has spent more than an hour on online matches can register for the upcoming beta using this link, but the NetherRealm Studios presenter says that not everyone will receive an invitation. Anyways, the developer is planning to let as many as possible players to join the beta testing period.

There will be available only four characters at the begging of the betaScorpion, Sub-Zero, Jacqui Briggs and Johnny Cage. Other characters will be added during the beta testing. In the meantime, a new video has been released for Kombat Pack 2, the new DLC for Mortal Kombat X, in which the Xenomorph (from Alien) and Leatherface (from Texas Chainsaw Massacre) makes their appearance in the game.
