Warner Bros made us a great surprise as they just announced a new movie, Legend of Tarzan. The movie is starring Alexander Skarsgard as the legendary character, Tarzan, as well as Margot Robbie who plays the role of his loving wife, Jane. In other roles are starring Djimon Hounsou as Chief Mbonga, Samuel L. Jackson as George Washington Williams and Casper Crump as Captain Kerkhover, along with John Hurt and Simon Russell Beale.
You can say that, Legend of Tarzan, is in complete opposition with the old Tarzan movie. That’s because this time around, Tarzan fled the jungle of Africa a few years ago and now lives in a civilized society under the name of John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his loving wife, Jane. He has been made an invitation to return back to the jungle as an emissary of the Parliament. At first he disagrees but in the end accepts to go back to the jungle of Congo, only to find out that he and his wife are only mere pawns in an evil mastermind plan fueled by greed and revenge by the hands of Captain Leon Rom. But, Leon, has no idea of what he had unleashed for bringing him back to the jungle.
The Legend of Tarzan is told from the eyes of David Yates, the executive producer of 4 Harry Potter movies, with a screenplay from Adam Cozad and Craig Brewer. The movie is based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’s books and stories about Tarzan. When I saw the trailer I literally started to shout and had goosebumps because I saw Tarzan back in action. I am really hyped about this movie as it is a new approach on the story of the legendary character that I grew up with. Legend of Tarzan will air on 1 July 2016, until then stay tuned for more information right here.
