Assassin’s Creed “Empire” Might Be Released in 2017

The next instalment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, of which story will take place in Egypt, will be released in 2017 according to Kotaku. The decision to delay the launch of the new game (codenamed “Empire”) was made because of the awful launch of Assassin’s Creed: Unity.

Based on other information, Kotaku speculates that the events of Watch Dogs 2 will take place in San Francisco and that the game will be released this year, in the place of an ordinary Assassin’s Creed game.

All of this said, Assassin’s Creed doesn’t go away for a whole year, we have a new movie that it’s coming up based on Assassin’s Creed and two new spin-off’s will be released this year (Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India and Russia).
